The principles governing quality assurance are those of total quality management:-
- Customer feedback indicating a minimum performance standard of ‘excellent’
- Prevention of errors, continuous improvement and simplification of all work processes
- Delegation of responsibility, motivation, recognition, and training of all employees
Each SMP employee is responsible for day to day quality and for continuous improvement of processes within his/her scope of responsibility. The SMP quality policy is reviewed at least annually to ensure it remains appropriate to the aims of the organisation.
