Watford Fire Station

SMP were employed by PJ Carey to provide the M&E design for a new four storey fire station and state of the art maintenance depot, including 14 residential apartments on the upper two floors, with a separate three storey training building (including heat and smoke facilities) and a museum.

The building is mechanically ventilated by heat recovery air handling units and fitted with occupancy sensors to reduce lighting output and energy consumption.
