Project Description

RFH-Simulation2This project consisted of the creation of a new purpose-built open access centre of excellence providing cutting edge surgical training solutions using screen-based technologies to improve patients’ experience by enhancing healthcare professional standards.

The focus of the M&E design was on a flexible workspace which can be quickly adapted to suit the ever changing training needs of the Hospital. New, high efficacy lighting (fluorescent and LED) together with a flexible control system allowing for future remodelling was provided, together with new power, data, access control, fire detection and an audio visual system.

RFH-Simulation1The suite includes a 40 person seminar room fitted with complete lighting control and air conditioning with heat recovery.

A Clinical Skills room and direct observation rooms are connected to the seminar room via CCTV cameras and speakers to allow for remote observation and control of the training procedures.
